We understand how daunting it can be completing your tax return, there are so many different questions and confusing terms that HMRC use, added to that the penalties and fees for getting it wrong or not completed on time all add unnecessary stress.

HOW IT WORKS
Once you have signed up you will be directed to a form that requires completing, the answers within this form will indicate to us what documentation we will need from you, this will include questions on:
Unique Tax Reference & National Insurance Number
Income Type - Employed, self employed, limited company, landlord etc
Expenses - Materials, motor expenses, tools & Insurance etc
Additional Questions - CIS Status, current tax status etc
Its not a problem if you don't know the answers to all the questions, we will work with you to determine the best possible solutions.

After we have received your completed form we will then email you a list of documents we require to complete your tax return, this can normally include the following:
Bank Statements
Credit Card Statements
Cash receipts
Invoices
CIS Statements
Mortgage Statements
Dividend Certificates
These documents can either be emailed to us, uploaded onto a secure shared cloud or posted to us freepost.

When we have received your documentation you can kick back and relax whilst we get to work crunching the numbers. Once the documentation has been received we aim to have your completed tax return back to you for your verification within 48 hours, however this can be delayed should we be missing any documents or require any further information from yourselves in regards to exceptional items etc but even then we still expect to get it back to you within the 48 hours.

Once we have completed your tax return we will send if to you via email for your verification, we WILL NOT submit your tax return without you first verifying and agreeing first. Within the email sent out will be the following documentation:
Full copy of your Self Assessment Tax Return
Full Copy of your Tax Calculation
Full Copy of your Personal Profit & Loss
An Overview of how we have treated certain transactions is needed
An overview of any potential tax efficiencies or tax savings you could make going forward from the information we have been provided.
A declaration that will require signing stating you are happy for us to submit the Tax Return to HMRC and that the information & documentation you have provided is correct.

When we have received back to signed declaration we will the submit the tax return digitally through online software and provide you with the submission receipt. We will also include a link in the email of how and where to pay your tax bill and that should then be it for another 12 months.
Should you ever need a copy of your self assessment tax return for a mortgage etc we will be more than happy to provide you a copy with a covering letter.
